The AmpleHarvest.org Campaign has been highlighted by the CNN Heroes program.

Created by Gary Oppenheimer in early 2009 as an outgrowth from the Sustainable West Milford (NJ) Community Garden program and assisted by a small number of very dedicated volunteers , the AmpleHarvest.org Campaign is now helping gardeners nationwide donate excess garden produce to 5,985 food pantries spread across all 50 states.
